Aaaages ago I started this art trade with 
but could never figure out how to finish it. I have access to an awesome scanner right now, so I scanned it in and played around and this is the final result! I actually really like the method, even though it was a veerrrrry quick color job. I'm usually so uptight about making every single line perfect, it was nice to have the imperfections that come with hand inked lines.
Prince Navintis is a super cool character, and I think I drew him a little too emotive here. Let's just say this is one of those rare times when he thinks no one's looking and let's a smile slip out

This is so amazing though! I love it! I really like that you brought his high, ungodly cheekbones in there! Also, I might just have to steal that leaf jewelry idea once in awhile--that is really creative and fabulous. ♥
I think the simplicity of this is good, and the colors are beautiful and spot-on to what he would wear. c:
Navintis can be pretty emotive when he wants to be, it is just that a huge smile is lower on the list as he doesn't normally have any reason to smile that big. But it is true that he does tend to be a reclusive, more reserved character when he is by himself or when he does think no one is looking at him--so maybe he let a smile slip out when he was thinking about something that brought him much joy. Probably having to do with a memory long, long ago!
